Hi GPODers!<\/p>\n

Last week I shared highlights from some of my favorite winter Garden Photo of the Day<\/em> submissions (Reflections on Some Favorite Winter GPODs<\/a>) to hopefully inspire some more fabulous winter garden photos, and I concluded that post with one of the many magical wreaths that Cherry Ong in Richmond, British Columbia has created and shared with the blog (See more of her creations: Wreath Making with Cherry<\/a>, Cherry\u2019s Fresh Winter Wreaths and Swags<\/a>, Winter Wreath Making<\/a>, and Holiday Decor From the Garden<\/a>). I\u2019m pleased to report that Cherry is back to pick up where she left off, and has shared the wreaths, swags, and arrangements she made in 2024.<\/p>\n

<\/a>First wreath of winter 2024: 22-inch Fraser fir (<\/em>Abies fraseri,\u00a0Zones 4\u20137)<\/em> wreath with boxwood branches, small-leaved gum<\/em> (<\/em>Eucalyptus<\/a> parvifolia,\u00a0Zones 7\u201310), dyed seeded eucalyptus, pine branches, and Japanese skimmia<\/em> (<\/em>Skimmia japonica,\u00a0Zones 6\u20138)<\/em> flowers<\/em><\/p>\n

\"homemade<\/a>Second wreath with Fraser fir branches, boxwood branches, magnolia branches, seeded eucalyptus and<\/em> Eucalyptus parvifolia.<\/p>\n

\"Magnolia<\/a>Magnolia and eucalyptus wreath in the garden. I kept it until spring.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Colourful and made with a mixture of foraged, recycled and purchased materials.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Pepperberry<\/em> (<\/em>Drimys lanceolata,\u00a0Zones 8\u201310)<\/em> and sea lavender<\/em> (<\/em>Limonium<\/a> platyphyllum,\u00a0Zones 3\u20139)<\/em> wreath (with leucodendron) for a dear friend. The clip on bird ornaments are an extra touch. My GF sent me this photo after it was hung on her door. She loved it!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"red<\/a>26-inch Fraser fir wreath made from scratch. You bet their favourite color is red!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"winter<\/a>Swag on my back gate. Love the shape of these foraged pine branches. There were so much to collect after the windstorm. I kept going back for more!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"winter<\/a>Foraged pine and pyracantha<\/a> stems and yew cuttings from the garden are tucked into this vintage duck terrine.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"winter<\/a>Noble fir branches<\/em> (<\/em>Abies procera,\u00a0Zones 5\u20136)<\/em> with Forever Goldy\u2122 arborvitae<\/em> (<\/em>Thuja<\/a> plicata \u20184EVER\u2019<\/em>,\u00a0Zones 5\u20138)<\/em> and \u2018Curly Red\u2019 leucothoe<\/em> (<\/em>Leucothoe<\/a> axillaris \u2018Curly Red\u2019<\/em>,\u00a0Zones 6\u20139)<\/em> from the garden comprise the base arrangement of his mini radio flyer container. Ilex<\/a> berries and white pine cones and a stick bundle are the fun elements of this fundraising arrangement made for a friend.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"winter<\/a>Winter arrangements are just as fun to make as summer ones.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"green<\/a>Last winter\u2019s backdoor wreath made with mossy branches, Japanese skimmia,<\/em> Forever Goldy\u2122 arborvitae and juniper berries.<\/em><\/p>\n

Thank you so much for sharing all of these gorgeous winter creations with us, Cherry! Your eye for texture and color combinations is always impressive and I\u2019m endlessly inspired by your creativity each year.<\/p>\n
