Sponsor:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Fine Gardening Native Plant Container Challenge (the \u201cContest\u201d) is sponsored by Active Interest Media\u00a0Holdco, Inc., 2143 Grand\u00a0Ave ,\u00a0Des Moines, IA\u00a050312\u00a0(the \u201cSponsor\u201d). The Sponsor\u00a0is responsible for\u00a0all aspects of the Contest. Participation in the Contest constitutes the participant\u2019s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules, and Sponsor\u2019s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 2.\u00a0Agreement to Official Rules<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n By\u00a0participating\u00a0in this Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and\u00a0represents\u00a0that he or she meets the eligibility requirements below.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a03.\u00a0Eligibility:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Contest (the \u201cContest\u201d) is only open to participants who are legal residents of United States, and who are\u00a0at least eighteen (18) years of age\u00a0at the time of entry (the \u201cEntrant\u201d).\u00a0Entrants under the age of eighteen (18) years of age may\u00a0participate\u00a0only if a parent or legal guardian completes the entry on their behalf and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules on the minor\u2019s behalf.\u00a0Employees of Active Interest Media\u00a0Holdco, Inc.\u00a0(the \u201cSponsor\u201d), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies,\u00a0suppliers\u00a0and their immediate family members and\/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to\u00a0participate\u00a0in the Contest. Contest Period:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Entries will be accepted online starting on Dec 31,\u00a02025\u00a0at 12:00 AM and ending Aug 31,\u00a02026\u00a0at 11:59 PM (the \u201cEntry Period\u201d). All online entries must be received by Aug 31,\u00a02026\u00a011:59\u00a0PM .\u00a0All times are (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). Entries\u00a0submitted\u00a0before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. Sponsor\u2019s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Contest.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 5. How to Enter:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Contest must be entered by\u00a0submitting\u00a0an entry using the online form provided on this site. The entry must fulfill all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of\u00a0Sponsor. You may enter only\u00a0once\u00a0and you must fill in the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple e-mail addresses,\u00a0identities\u00a0or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise\u00a0attempt\u00a0to circumvent the\u00a0rules\u00a0your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of\u00a0Sponsor.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Acceptable file\u00a0formats:\u00a0JPEG, PNG.\u00a0<\/span>Maximum\u00a0file size per image: 10 MB. Total Submission size should not exceed 50 MB.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 6. Qualifying Submissions:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Entries must feature an original container garden design. Each design is\u00a0required\u00a0to include\u202f<\/span>at least one<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>North American native plant (native cultivars acceptable). Submissions should clearly\u00a0identify\u00a0the native plant used and\u00a0demonstrate\u00a0how it contributes to the overall design. Containers may be any size or style, but designs should be suitable for\u00a0growing in\u00a0containers for an entire season. Photos and a brief plant list are\u00a0required\u00a0with\u00a0each entry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 7. Judging:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Judging will be conducted by Fine Gardening\u2019s editorial staff. Editors will select their favorite plan displays\u00a0submitted\u00a0during the course of\u00a0the year based on the following criteria:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The decisions of the judges are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 8. Prizes:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The approximate retail value of all prizes is $300. The prizes are:\u00a0The winner\u2019s container garden design will be featured in a future issue\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0Fine\u00a0Gardening Magazine\u00a0(approximate publicity value: $300)\u00a0No\u00a0cash equivalent is available. Actual\/appraised value may differ at\u00a0time\u00a0of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely\u00a0determined\u00a0by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution\u00a0permitted\u00a0except at Sponsor\u2019s discretion. The prize is nontransferable.\u00a0Any and all\u00a0prize related expenses, including without limitation\u00a0any and all\u00a0federal, state, and local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer\/assignment of prize to others or\u00a0request for\u00a0the cash equivalent by winners is\u00a0permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for\u00a0Sponsor\u00a0to use\u00a0winner\u2019s\u00a0name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 9. Winner Notification:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Winners of the Contest will be notified via e-mail or phone to the e-mail address or phone number they\u00a0entered into\u00a0the\u00a0Contest with\u00a0within five (5) days following the\u00a0winner\u00a0selection.\u00a0Winner\u00a0selection\u00a0will occur on or about September 30, 2026.\u00a0Sponsor\u00a0shall have no liability for a winner\u2019s failure to receive notices due to winners\u2019 spam, junk\u00a0e-mail\u00a0or other security settings or for winners\u2019 provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible,\u00a0fails to\u00a0claim the prize within\u00a015 days\u00a0from the time award notification was sent, or\u00a0fails to\u00a0timely\u00a0return a completed and executed declaration and releases as\u00a0required, prize may be\u00a0forfeited\u00a0and an alternate winner selected. Terms:<\/span>\u00a0Sponsor\u00a0reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case,\u00a0Sponsor\u00a0may judge submissions from all eligible entries received prior to and\/or after (if\u00a0appropriate)\u00a0the action taken by\u00a0Sponsor.\u00a0Sponsor\u00a0reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or\u00a0attempts\u00a0to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions.\u00a0Sponsor\u00a0has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Contest rules; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering.
