Spring is in full swing and it\u2019s starting to feel like summer is right around the corner, so container gardening is really starting to pick up steam. When we talk containers one person that always comes to mind is Howard Nemeroff A.K.A @plant_parenting<\/a>. Howard is the owner of an indoor plant and container garden design company<\/a> in Chicago, Illinois, and generously shares his gorgeous designs, creative process, and maintenance tips on his popular Instagram page. We have been lucky to feature some of his fabulous designs on Garden Photo of the Day over the years (Check out some of his previous submissions: New Container Creations from Howard<\/a>, Howard\u2019s Spring Container Displays<\/a>, Celebrating Summer and Welcoming Fall with Howard\u2019s Containers<\/a>, Howard\u2019s Pumpkin Displays in Chicago<\/a>, New Creations From a Window Box Expert<\/a>, and more), and today he is back to share some of the creative concoctions he has cooked up this spring.<\/p>\n

<\/a>I thought I would try my hand at an all native container. Composition includes ninebark<\/em> (<\/em>Physocarpus<\/a> opulifolius, Zones 2\u20138), coreopsis<\/a>, and maidenhair fern<\/em> (<\/em>Adiantum<\/a> pedatum, Zones 3\u20138)<\/em><\/p>\n

\"shade<\/a>Thriller, filler, and spiller of a different sort<\/em><\/p>\n

\"container<\/a>Martha or Regal geraniums<\/em> (<\/em>Pelargonium<\/a> \u00d7 domesticum, Zones 9\u201311 or as an annual) and alyssum<\/em> (<\/em>Lobularia maritima, annual) easily a month in.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"window<\/a>Sorry, it almost looks AI. All legit.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"red<\/a>From temperate to tropical, welcome to the colorful world of<\/em> Neoregelia bromeliads. Here with First Kiss begonias<\/em> (<\/em>Begonia<\/a> \u2018I\u2019Conia First Kiss Hot Pink\u2019<\/em>, annual)<\/em>.<\/p>\n
