Hi GPODers!<\/p>\n

The spring interest keeps on coming this week as we set sail for Martha\u2019s Vineyard, an island off the coast of Massachusetts. Fran Watson has shared her vibrant garden in Vineyard Haven a handful of times (Check out her previosu submissions: Fran\u2019s Island Garden<\/a>, Fran\u2019s Spring Garden on Martha\u2019s Vineyard<\/a>, Gardening on Martha\u2019s Vineyard<\/a>, and Jewels of Fall in Fran\u2019s Garden<\/a>), and each time her vibrant plant palette\u2014including a beautiful assortment of blooms\u2014was on full display. Today she is back to share some of the bright foliage and fabulous flowers that have emerged this spring.<\/p>\n

<\/a>This pink azalea is 25 years old, the cinnamon fern<\/em> (<\/em>Osmundastrum cinnamomeum, Zones 3\u20139) is one of my favorite plants.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"pink<\/a>Lupine is my idea of excitement in the garden.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"red<\/a>Fran creates a wonderful feeling of harmony in her early season garden by repeating color palettes with a diverse selection of plants. Several bright green and chartreuse foliage plants create a glowing backdrop for bursts of pink, purple and blue blooms\u2014like these glorious red\/pink columbine.<\/p>\n

\"ground<\/a>Taken from a second floor deck.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"lilacs<\/a>These lilacs smell wonderful.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"light<\/a>I love anything blue\/purple in the garden\u2014like Jacob\u2019s ladder (<\/em>Polemonium reptans, Zones 3\u20138).<\/em><\/p>\n

\"close<\/a>Rhododendron<\/a> have begun to bloom.<\/em><\/p>\n
