Hi GPODers! Today we\u2019re visiting Rhonda in West Grove, Pennsylvania (Zone 7a), where the garden is beginning to wind down for the season. But there\u2019s still plenty to enjoy!<\/p>\n

Here are some photos of my waning garden. Begonias<\/em>, hardy begonias (<\/em>Begonia grandis, Zones 6\u20139) my favorite, colchicums (<\/em>Colchicum cvs., Zones 4\u20138), tradescantias<\/a> (<\/em>Tradescantia cvs., Zones 4\u20139), toad lilies<\/a> (<\/em>Tricyrtis cvs., Zones 4\u20139), anemones (<\/em>Anemone hybrids, Zones 4\u20138), and hostas are on their last legs!<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been trying to make my gardens more manageable by allowing some plants to take over. The beds with the anemones and hardy begonias don\u2019t have any weeds because there isn\u2019t any room!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\"Winding<\/p>\n

A winding stone path leads through more Japanese anemones, ferns, and other shade-loving plants.<\/p>\n

\"Magenta<\/p>\n

These bright magenta double begonias (Begonia<\/em> cvs., annual) are still putting on quite a show! The weathered urn is a beautiful container for them, and even the scattered petals add a little color to the brick patio.<\/p>\n

\"Lavender-pink<\/p>\n

Colchicums are a welcome surprise in the fall garden. Their flowers appear long after their spring foliage has disappeared.<\/p>\n

\"Pink<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a closer look at Rhonda\u2019s favorite hardy begonias! Their delicate pink flowers mingle with hostas (Hosta<\/em> <\/a>cvs., Zones 3\u20139) and other shade-loving plants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thank you for sharing your garden with us, Rhonda! When I think of fall gardens, pink isn\u2019t usually the first color that comes to mind. This was such a refreshing change from the oranges, yellows, and reds we typically associate with the season!<\/p>\n
