We\u2019re back with more fall color from New Jersey garden designers Ellen Goldfarb and Tracy Buttrick! Today we\u2019re sharing four more of Tracy\u2019s autumn container designs, including arrangements for narrow porches and a beautiful ginkgo-lined entrance in Saddle River.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>This pot sits on a narrow front porch in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. The height comes from broom corn (<\/em>Sorghum bicolor, <em>annual), yellow winterberries (<\/em>Ilex verticillata<em>, Zones 3\u20139), and pumpkins-on-a-stick (<\/em>Solanum aethiopicum<em>, annual). The purple-flowering plant is \u2018Mona Lavender\u2019 plectranthus (<\/em>Plectranthus <em>\u2018Mona Lavender\u2019<\/em>,<em> Zones 9\u201311), a plant we love but find very hard to get some years. It\u2019s also great in a shade garden, although it seems to prefer flowering when the days are shorter.
