For most of us, spring is when our gardens come to life. Plants end their winter dormancy, the first flushes of flowers arrive, and we can plant exciting new additions. Spring is also when we pull out, dust off, and rearrange our favorite non-plant garden elements that add color and fun to our landscapes—I’m talking about garden art. Today’s photos come from Patricia Krulek in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and they feature some fun plants, but they really highlight the creative art that adds so much personality and whimsy to her space.
My 78-year-old husband and I bring our gorgeous garden to life every spring in Michigan with these beautiful colors. We also have recently added a cool farm scene to our backyard. We have lived in our home for over 54 years and love to add something new every year! Our plants include petunias, hostas, impatiens, and ferns. My husband built the gazebo and installed beautiful ponds, which make the whole backyard a tranquil paradise.
